Gretchen brings a unique balance of artistry and analytical thinking to every client she works with. Gretchen’s philosophy is that Interior Designers are artists, and a major part of that medium is functionality. Everyone has been in a space that looks beautiful but for whatever reason they are not comfortable in it. The discomfort may come from how the furniture feels, it may come from the positioning of the pieces in the room, it may be the colors used. Gretchen believes it is an Interior Designer’s job to find what makes their clients feel comfortable in a space and to deliver that in the most beautiful way possible.

Beyond residential design, Gretchen also has a unique perspective to bring to commercial design. For 10 years Gretchen owned a coffee shop with her husband Josh, and she is still involved in the coffee industry today. She understands what makes a space work for consumers as well as the staff who serve them. Through firsthand experience she knows how to establish a flow in a commercial space that creates a beautiful and seamless experience for the consumer which they will want to share through social media and beyond.
